Welcome to the current monthly review! A lot has happened in the ioBroker world again in April 2025. New adapters have been released, existing ones have been improved, and the foundation of our system—the js controller—has received an update. Let's take a detailed look at all the new features.
Updates
💙 js-controller 7.0.7
The js-controller is the heart of ioBroker.
It controls the entire runtime environment, manages adapters and processes, and ensures central communication within the system.
No ioBroker installation would function without it.
Version 7.0.7 introduces important improvements and bug fixes:
- Extended support for
encryptedNativeandprotectedNative:
These fields can now also be used within complex structures and arrays, increasing data security and flexibility for developers.
- Optimized typing, which improves the development of new adapters and system stability.
ioBroker.devices 1.2.2
Developer: bluefox
The devices adapter serves as the central management layer for devices in ioBroker. It aggregates states, channels, and objects from different adapters (e.g., iot, material, matter) into logical devices and provides a unified API through which other adapters and scripts can access device data. This makes device organization more transparent and simplifies automation.
With version 1.2.2, the adapter has been comprehensively modernized: It has been converted to TypeScript and Vite, improving code quality, loading speed, and ease of development.
In addition, all known bugs have been fixed, noticeably increasing stability and reliability in daily use.
New adapters in stable
The following adapters have been successfully tested and added to the stable repository.

ioBroker.bayernluft

ioBroker.fyta

Description:
The FYTA adapter, which connects the smart plant sensors from FYTA to ioBroker, has now been added to the stable repository.
It was already introduced in the last blog and is now officially in stable.
The adapter enables monitoring of soil moisture, light conditions, and temperature directly in ioBroker and is ideal for smart plant care.

Description:
The adapter integrates the smart meter interfaces from SHRDZM IT Services e.U. into ioBroker. SHRDZM offers specialized solutions for the simple and secure reading of digital electricity meters, primarily for the Austrian market.

New adapters in latest
The following adapters are currently in testing and are available via the latest repository.
They can already be installed and tested, but are not yet officially released as stable.
Note: As always, we are very grateful for tests and feedback from the community – especially during this phase, feedback helps us to further improve the quality and stability of the adapters.

The SkiInfo Adapter provides current information from ski resorts in Europe and enables the use of this data within ioBroker.

ioBroker.dnscope

Description:
With the DNScope adapter, dynamic DNS accounts can be updated directly from ioBroker. DNS (Domain Name System) is an internet service that translates domain names (like www[.]example.com) into IP addresses. For dynamic internet connections where the IP address changes regularly, a DynDNS service is necessary to ensure your home servers or smart home systems always remain accessible. DNScope allows you to automatically register your current IP address with various DynDNS providers – without any additional hardware or external software.

- Automatic update of the public IP address with DynDNS providers
- Support for
