maveo adapter for ioBroker

Adapter for the maveo garage door systems by Marantec. Two operating modes:

  • Cloud mode (default) — login against the Marantec cloud (Amazon Cognito), control through the Nymea tunnel wss://remoteproxy.nymea.io. Requires the box to be paired via Bluetooth onboarding in the maveo app (the app writes the Cognito Identity ID into the box during onboarding). If the box was only added locally, the cloud device list is empty; in that case the adapter tells you so in the log and you can switch to LAN mode.
  • LAN mode — direct JSON-RPC connection to the box (<boxIp>:2222 over TLS by default). On first start push-button authentication is performed: press the yellow button on the back of the maveo box within 60 s. The resulting token is stored in the adapter. Works independently of the Cognito account and is the reliable option when the box is reachable on the local network.

State updates (position, movement, sensors) arrive as push notifications in both modes via Integrations.StateChanged; open/close is issued via Integrations.ExecuteAction.

Configuration

FieldMeaningDefault
App Email / App PasswordCredentials of the maveo app (cloud mode only)
Regioneu (Europe) or us (USA)eu
IoT wake topicOptional AWS IoT topic used to wake the boxempty
Maveo box IPEnables LAN mode when setempty
PortJSON-RPC port2222
TLSSSL for the JSON-RPC socketon

The Cognito pool/client IDs and IoT endpoints are hard-coded from the maveo app 2.6.1 and region-dependent. The local push-button token is stored encrypted in native.localToken.

Control

For each thing the adapter creates writable states under maveo.<inst>.<thingId>.remote.<action> (for example open, close). Writing any value to such a state issues Integrations.ExecuteAction. State changes come in automatically as push updates in maveo.<inst>.<thingId>.<stateTypeId>.

Changelog

0.1.2

  • Garage door position and movement are now also published as simple boolean states in the status channel — isOpen, isClosed, isOpening, isClosing and isMoving. These are much easier to use in logic blocks and visualizations than the original text value (open/closing/…) and arrow glyph (//-), which remain available unchanged.

0.1.1

  • Local (LAN) control added — this is the easy, recommended way and needs no cloud account:
    1. Find the IP address of your maveo box (check your router's device list).
    2. In the adapter settings enter it under Maveo box IP and save.
    3. On the first start the adapter asks you to press the yellow button on the maveo box. You have 5 minutes — just walk over and press it once.
    4. Done. The token is stored, future restarts connect on their own.
  • Cloud login (maveo app e-mail/password) still works as an alternative.
  • Your garage door, light and sensors show up as ready-to-use data points under maveo.0.<device> — with an open/close/light control section and a status section.

0.1.0

  • First working version against the current Marantec/nymea backend: cloud login, device discovery and remote control.

0.0.5

  • (TA2k) update login keys

0.0.4

  • (TA2k) fix status

0.0.1

  • (TA2k) initial release
